Client wishes to enhance an existing application that facilitates the Administration of Business Taxes (generally known as STARS.)

The host system is Oracle based (implemented with PSRM) using a front-end system hosted by the Business Gateway (Gateway) commonly referred to as WebUI.

For this role Client is looking for resources that have superior JAVA development skills. The resources must also have relevant solution development experience to include development and support of Web Services.

The same candidate must be able to architect, design, and develop solutions (front end, back end, as well as batch.) The ideal candidate will have experience working with STARS related products (i.e. PSRM, PeopleSoft, DataStage, WebSphere ESB)

Uniquely qualified candidates will have actually participated in the STARS project.

Other tasks/deliverables may include any/all of the following:

• Potentially, provide Production Support for various eCommerce applications as needed.

• Potentially, various projects involving infrastructure upgrades (aka technical debt.) The particular scope of work for this consultant would involve changes to applications in response to the app requirements as they are flushed out in the tech debt discovery process.

• Migration of other eCommerce applications to upgrade platform (e.g. WAS 9, RAD 9, JAVA 1.8). Also, potentially, enhance eCommerce applications as needed, and/or migrate the backend to a platform other than Mainframe DB2. Work in this arena is related to projects known as WAS Upgrade, Mainframe Replacement, and other technical debt projects as they are initiated.
